Week of Nov 6 - 12
A calm week ahead as the city and season start to cool

It’s the time of year for hot dishes like this Ramen
Hello again and welcome back.
After a busy week we just had, this week is shaping up to be a little quieter on the local front.
It’s a good moment to catch your breath, check out the latest activism happening downtown, and reflect on how far the vegan movement has come globally.
From ongoing protests calling for fur-free fashion to the continued momentum of World Vegan Month, there’s still plenty to stay connected.

World Vegan News:
My apologies for slipping on the big news about World Vegan Day last week on November 1, it slipped through my radar. The timing was especially notable this year, as it marked the 80th anniversary of The Vegan Society, the group that first introduced the word “vegan” back in 1944. Across the globe, celebrations and campaigns highlighted how far the movement has come, focusing on its environmental impact, health benefits, and the growing accessibility of plant-based living. ProVeg International encouraged people to try going fully vegan for a day, while media outlets spotlighted everything from sustainable food innovation to high-protein plant-based diets. November also ushers in World Vegan Month, offering a full month to explore new vegan options, share recipes, and support the businesses that make compassionate eating easier than ever.
