Week of April 2 - 8
Your weekly update on Toronto’s vegan scene

Vegan Pizza from Blondies
Welcome to April and this week’s edition of the Insider.
On the agenda is a laid-back vegan pizza night happening at Aunty Em’s, along with a brand new Ital-inspired pop-up opening its doors on Eglinton West; always a good sign to see fresh spots continuing to emerge across the city.
With Easter this weekend, I know holiday meals can still feel a bit complicated depending on your situation. But it’s also worth taking a moment to recognize the impact that every vegan choice adds up, and collectively it means fewer animals being killed for these traditions.
That shift is happening, slowly but steadily, and it’s something to feel good about.
Looking ahead, there are a few events coming up over the next couple of weeks that I’ll share more on soon.
This Week:
📅 Friday, April 3
🕒 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
📍 Aunty Em’s — 1672 St Clair Ave. W.
A casual vegan pizza pop-up offering slices, whole pies, and garlic knots during a 12-8pm drop-in service window.
(Event details are accurate to the best of my knowledge at the time of publishing. Events are intended to be vegan, but details may change, please confirm directly with the organizer if you have specific concerns.)
Product of the Week
Each week, I share a vegan product I personally use or trust. Some links are affiliate links, at no extra cost to you. I only recommend products I genuinely stand behind.
⭐ Spotlight: The Slug, a made-in-Canada, leather-look vegan belt built to last. Made by Truth Belts, a local Canadian company. I’ve enjoyed mine for 5+ years and it’s still in great shape! Get 15% off with code BuyVegan. |
